DON’T HIDE – BE YOURSELF

How comfortable are you in your own skin?

Being comfortable in your own skin is often a work in progress. For the past few years, I have been working on a photography project with the aim of discovering when and how do we as women become comfortable being in our own skin?

I have been documenting women who are already there, who are nearly there…or simply brave enough to step into their skin and own it!

Brave enough to step into their skin and own it!

This new website was a long time in coming. I have worked on a variety of projects with some incredible women over the years and felt it was the time to share their strength, vulnerability and awesomeness with the world. It takes a lot to shed your carefully curated public persona and strip down to your real-self to show your real skin or the one that is hidden inside you.

Some of the images you will see here show women in their homes, down to bare skin sitting in their own space. For some- they have struggled with how their bodies have changed as they grow wiser over the years.

Other images represent what hidden parts some of us hide inside. By giving women the opportunity to express their hidden selves and feelings- we free ourselves and connect with others who may feel the same.

The women you see might be a reflection of yourself or someone you know. They had experiences that force them to change how they look at and treat their own bodies.
